What are InBrace® Hidden Braces?
InBrace hidden braces work like traditional braces but they’re placed on the back surface of the teeth, facing the tongue. At our practice, we use InBrace braces, which allow for more efficient, comfortable treatment.
Dr. Scheer takes digital impressions of your teeth to create a virtual, 3D model of your mouth. He plans out your treatment directly on the computerized rendering of your smile for maximum precision. He then sends his specifications to a lab and custom InBrace braces are created just for you.
What are the Benefits of InBrace Invisible Braces?
InBrace behind-the-teeth braces can’t be seen at all when you smile, not even close up. Since the brackets are bonded to the back of the teeth, if any discoloration develops, it won’t be visible when your braces are removed. While there are a number of other discreet treatment options, InBrace braces can address more complex cases. This is because the hidden braces are more effective than clear aligners at correcting both tooth rotations and tooth height, as well as closing gaps caused by extractions.
The InBrace system uses Smartwires™. These wires have a looping design that allows you to floss as you normally would. They also self-adjust and don’t require tightening, so visits are shorter. Thanks to digital treatment planning and the unique brackets and wires, these hidden braces cause less friction and are more efficient than conventional braces. This means treatment is more comfortable and you may see your new smile sooner.
